Just bought an adult owned and well cared for PSP, with 14 games and 8 movies for $100. It is a 1001 model with a date code of 5a, it has software version 2.00

I assume it is moddable. I want to be able to download games to the memory card, and be able to play n64 emulators. And possibly use that cool it sensor to control my TV.

I'm good with my hands and can follow directions. I have experience with original xboxes, have done many tsop flashing, 128mb ram upgrades, etc. I feel I can tackle anything needed with a bit of up front guidance to understand this machine.

    Now, where should I start?

for some reason I can't start my own post, so ill try posting this here. I just bought a star wars ed. psp, because supposedly theyre all moddable, and the guy that i bought it from said that it already had custom firmware installed, but under system software it says Version 5.55...

what should i do from there to get the latest firmware?
