No more issues with playing locally without internet, if you come across outdated game versions between Switches!

Nintendo Switch games will soon be able to update locally via your nearby friend's Switch console connected to the same LAN.

The feature is not available yet, but Nintendo claims it will be enabled soon in a future upcoming firmware update.
Like the poster above mentions, this might backfire on big 'N' if there is 'game hack' out there that can be shared locally, all tho it will be nice way to update games when dealing with multiple Switches and makes the system more portable and multiplayer friendly.

This is actually a great idea. I could see this evolving into something much bigger. For example, imagine a person in an area where the internet isn't really accessible to everyone. Then imagine him writing a message, but having someone else's Switch deliver it to the internet for him.

This is a good idea in terms of LAN play.

I hope anything like that can be opt out of (or better, opt in), could cause problems e.g. network congestion or worse depending on if local laws make the internet account holder liable for anything.
