    1. Obtain PSP game in PKG format and put it in this directory.
(Only for DEX users - you need also make_edata_npdrm.exe - put in tools dir)

    =====================================================
IF YOU WANT TO USE ISO INSTEAD OF EBOOT.PBP
    - Copy ISO file here
    - RUN ISO2EBOOT (name output PBP as EBOOT.PBP)
    - GO TO STEP 3

IF ERROR APPEARS THAT ISO IS TOO BIG TOO FAKE THEN TRY TO DELETE FROM ISO UPDATE DIRECTORY IN PSP_GAME/SYSDIR USING UMDGEN

IF ERROR APPEARS THAT EBOOT ISN'T SIGNED THEN UNPACK ISO WITH UMDGEN, DELETE FILE OPNSSMP.BIN FROM ISODIR/PSP_GAME/SYSDIR/
(THIS FILE COULD NOT EXIST SOMETIMES).
COPY EBOOT.BIN TO PSP2PS3 DIR AND RUN SIGN_EBOOT. REPACK ISO USING UMDGEN WITH SIGNED EBOOT.BIN (OVERWRITE OLD ONE)

WORKS ONLY IF GAME HAVE SIGNED MODULES
    (SIGNEM MODULES STARTS WITH "~SCE")
    =====================================================

    2. Put pkg in PSP2PS3 dir and run EXTRACT_PKG

    3. Run MAKE_EDATS_[CEX/DEX]

    4. Run MAKE_PACKAGE (after packaged is created script will ask to tranfer pkg to PS3 via FTP)

(IMPORTANT FOR DEX USERS! If you have "Package Manager" [eg in Rebug FW] and you want to install package you'll see only "Please Wait" message.
Wait till message dissappear then go to Package Manager -> Playstation Network Content and install your package from there).

    Tested on Rebug 4.30.2 CEX/DEX

    Changelog:
    v1.7.3
    -MAKE_EDATS_CEX:
---FIXED: Starting EDAT Tool when user chooses to unpack iso

---FIXED: Issue when function sleep doesn't exist in system - pause will be used insted of it.
    -ISO2EBOOT:

      IMPORTANT:

if you run mM prior to starting one of these PSP games it results in a black screen freeze. No logo or nothing. just a black screen freeze. So if you run mM reboot the ps3 before running a PSP game.

      Edit:
It appears this issue isnt happening to everyone. I am going to try and investgate it more. if you have this issue please post. or even if yu don't. Its weird

PSP Games are now playable on PS3 if you have a Cobra USB with firmware 4.0+ They're also playable on 4.2+ CFWs via a new free method.

@Retro, it's funny cause I have ADMIN rights there (or at least I did a year or so ago) guess I should check into that site more often. ;)

Ah i missed that part. LOL

Also some of the latest Compatibility list may have issues as some people reported games not working with a black screen freeze some of those may of been cause by the mM warning i have above. Can anyone else confirm if they have that issue. I have tested about 12 times and happens everytime when mM is booted then a PSP/Mini game.

      Run mM and quit
      then try a PSP Game.

everytime a black screen freeze. Which many games get reported as so im thinking some of the titles could be working.

I added 3 games to their compatibility list that they didn't have:

Resistance Retribution, Military History Commander: Europe at War, & Medal of Honor: Heroes 2

The freeze if mM 04.30.00 was previously launched also happens to me. But as you said, this issue isnt happening to everyone.
      (I'm currently on 4.30.2 Rebug)

I am on Rebug 4.21.2 still,

Its weird also happens with regular minis.

      Update:
Also some user who are on rebug 4.30.2 have said they do not have any issues, so that would rule out as the CFW causing the issue.

Ok going to report on a couple of games which weren't on this http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PSP_On_PS3_Compatibility_List (I added them though, of course)

      Infected works and saves :)

And earlier in this thread this was posted below:

I tested "exit" and apparently this member didn't test thoroughly enough, as the game boots etc but hangs forever on now loading screen after starting a level, so this isn't actually playable.

And of course (as reported by some others around the net) Ultimate Ghost n Goblins works but the frame rate is too fast.

I've tried different regions on 3 games and they behaved the same way as the other region (US and EU), Exit wasn't one of them however.

I've tested some more games that weren't on that compatibility list with nothing good to report.
Brothers in Arms: D-Day, Metal Gear Solid: Acid 1 & 2, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, & Call of Duty: Roads to Victory all blackscreen after minis logo.

Would be interesting to know what cobra did to increase compatibility. It was reasonably good by the end.

The scene is figuring out more here the last week then cobra did or released in a year

Granted Cobra was the first to get these methods but the scene will do much better then they will. Many things in the past couple of days have been figured out.

      Totally sick bro!

I wasn't debating that, I was wondering what Cobra did to increase compatibility.
They increased their compatibility greatly over a period of a few weeks

I've heard that the compatibility can be increased by using a different eboot.pbp as the base.
I am yet to try this myself though.

That would make sense, seeing as the emulator might need game specific patches.

I saw this recently as well, but only saw 2 games with "eboot fixes" final fantasy 3 was one of them.

Actually, using the same iso's i used for Cobra from my external HDD is giving good results after converting to PKG. But I can't remember what's patched and what's not. The cobra team did increase compatibility in a reasonably short time, the main selling point was iso's and psone isos I think. Then again, I'm not against spending money,,,,,,,,,,

Also using JPCSP to decrypt eboot or now PSP 2 PS3 1.7.4 helps with compatibility.
