Would this work?: Make an emunand of your 4.5 console. Hard mod it to be able to flash the sysNAND. Replace sysNAND with emunand. Have perm emunand?
I don't...............think you can replace sysNAND with emuNAND buddy. This sounds really potcrack to me.
as far as it seems emuNAND and sysNAND is the "same" and unless you unlink it the interact with eatch other to, so with something like a hard mod to read/write directly to NAND it to me seems like in theory it should be possible?
tell that to one of the users on the forum, he said hes done excatly this no proof of course. but he says he did it
it doesn't matter if he did it. lol the only matter is what was the outcome. anyone can try but if it bricks the 3DS, it's pointless anyway... even tho I said that, it's not like everyone has a hard mod on their 3DS. so it wouldn't surprise me if no one had actually tried to really do something like that
If I'm not mistaken emunand is not what gives the kernel access to run roms, it's the exploit executed at 4.5. Emunand is simply a version of the nand that's stored on SD and can be decrypted by GW to create new launchers for the kernel exploit. If you were to flash your nand with emunand, you would have exactly the same thing. Emunand is not a CFW that gives user full kernel access to the system like PS3, and PSP CFW. It is simply a bootable version of the 3DS firmware stored on SD rather than nand that GW can then dump and exploit using a new launcher. Basically it's nand that can be wiped and re-written with ease since it is located on SD, the actual exploit is still executed on the 4.5 level for the time being. Having perm emunand does not give you access to jack squat. Nobody to this day has been able to create a working CFW with full kernel access like the PS3.
And yes you can flash your nand with emunand, people who accidentally upgraded there nand have in the past been able to get 4.5 back by flashing the emunand 4.5. But doing so does not give the 3DS magical powers, you simply have a working 4.5 like before.
lol i have a standard 3ds not xl so i havent added the hardware mod to reflash the 3ds if i had a xl i would do it in a heartbeat but i wont do the 3ds until i actually need too
i wonder if the new 3ds xl is built internally the same way for a easy nand dump dont want to open it up tho ill break it
really because i was looking and even posted no one got back to me and i couldnt find it in the hardware section
