A PS3 EBOOT Fix is now available for the most critically divided game in the Resident Evil series

Windrider, of Tortuga-Cove fame, has come across a decrypted Resident Evil 6 EBOOT file, in which PatrickBatman has decided to "add the finishing touches" (re-signing the decrypted file/s & modifying SDK version) to the file so that CEX 3.55/3.41 users can enjoy the game without having to deal with the complexity of booting games up in DEX firmware and dealing with the high bricking percentages/risks associated with jumping onto Rogero's 4.21 POC MFW.

Yeah, I don't think this is real either. SCEtool can't process it, not even with the newly released 4.2x version of SCEtool.

I only looked at this eboot for a second but you can clearly see its been decrypted, so either resign it or make it an fself :p

Well like I said, SCEtool pitches a fit when trying to read it. Even that newer one released earlier today.

it doesnt need to be read, you need to re encrypt it as you see fit

Here i reencrypted to 3.41 try this:

      http://ps3scenefiles.com/file.php?id=1171

      its SELF not FSELF

(as on dex we dont need this eboot really)

This is under the assumption there is no other encrypted files like SPRX/.SELF etc

Didnt test it im on dex and I just play via 1.01 update (3.41/3.55 dont need update, it wont work anyway)

Tell me if it works or not, so then I can make it visible on scenefiles

Thanks Patrick. I'm still curious as to why none of the tools I have can read (OR ENCRYPT, Evil, thank you) the decrypted one. I think I'm missing something here :(

Yes but not all our on Dex. Good for the 3.55 CFW user

I am getting the 8001003C error
oh maybe i need to update the game. I am using rogero 3.7.
I already play this on DEX, so just testing.

Did someone else test as well, in case its just me.

Honestly? I'm not sure now. I've only just started setting everything up again after taking a break, it's 6am and I'm fairly certain I've missed something. Or a lot XD I'll sort it out when I wake up.

UPDATE: yeah it wont work Let me reupload i have to fix the SDK to 34 as its at 41 i accidentally looked at the 33

Thats the sys_param_proc error i look ed at it thought it had 33 but it was a little different looking perhaps the 41 was SDK in a weird spot, so anyway 13 BC C5 F6 hex reads 13 BC C5 F6 00 33 00 00 00 41 00 01, so in elf change 41 to 34 normally the 33 would be changed (if i remember correctly) and its already fine the original eboot elf would of had 41, so maybe it moved.

Ok I tested yours and it return me to XMB after clicking on Disc Icon. But your eboot size is about the same as Original RE6 Eboot.

I tried it a couple time and tried to launch from app_home,, same thing. No error . Will try PatrickBatman's new one now.

Well size doesnt matter (unless this isnt actually isnt the RE6 eboot) There's a compression flag you can toggle in the EBOOT, i didnt toggle it so its the same size as the .elf, also if there is other encrypted files the eboot depends on then this wont work.

also if this doesnt "work" i can test it in target manager on debug in fileserving recording to see if eboot is actually executing and what files it may be looking for to proceed. However, those files are prolly encrypted so then i would have to get appldr keys from LV0 and possibly a klic key, which i think is way too much effort being a stable 421 CFW is right around the corner. And Im currently playing the game right now ;)
