Seeing as this thread has now become a discussion thread for the official RetroArch builds, this thread has been moved to this forum section (Retro Emulators), so from now, if anyone wants to talk about the official RetroArch builds, then this thread is the place to do so.

Just as a headsup Snes9xnext is having some issues. it boots as prboom.

I made squarepusher aware via Pm @ RetroArch forums..

    update:
Any reason why the download here is an .exe file?

It's a SELF-EXTRACTING ARCHIVE (SFX), and the .exe extension is a standard extension used for such archives (stupid I know).

It's a packaged archive created as self-extracting via making it an EXE. Unlike just using 7z, rar, zip or zoo EXE's can easily be wrapped or infected with malware/virii. I would make sure to scan anything with at least 3 different scanning apps before running EXE including those from download.com, softpedia, etc ... The authors probably figured it would be easier for the end user to extract the files given no need for a program to do so if lacking one, but didn't think that the same people posting CFW that brick consoles on the net might infect their extractor and start giving people problems.

You can, or just download STLcardsWS' repack (or the AIO SFX archive on here) - http://www.mediafire.com/?1awd718ptzisy7a

Have the exact same problem. snes core doesn't load
I had them as .zip files and when I changed the core to fceu it would see when I pressed x to load all it said was 'extract to ____ directory".

I figured retroarch doesn't notice snes .zip files so I extracted them and now it doesn't notice snes roms at all.

squarepusher is aware and a fix will be out soon.

He is busy today getting xbox1 and xbox360 builds out first. so if anyone wants to compile that core i can redo the pkg, from there. To get this out a bit faster. Square is okay with someone else compiling it. So we can get this out faster.

Also you can use older SNES9xNext core as well just replace the broken one with one from a previous build. That is perfectly okay. So if you havent installed this. keep/save your SNES core until we have a fix.

Back again - will keep the shootouts to a minimum now because I appreciate getting bug reports and feedback. Sorry for the fights I initiated earlier.

Anyways, I'm going to take care of this bug that gDrive has been experiencing before pushing out a new release. Will not take too long.

Nice to see you back Twinaphex!
Just a quick question regarding the android port..

Is the shaders pack that comes with the PS3 version bundled with it (had a brief look but couldnt find it)
If not are they compatible and can I just grab them from my PS3 install and transfer them over?

Apart from that, everything Ive tried so far with it has worked well :)

Boot retroarch, click the menu button at the top, then Shader Pack :D

I just tried HQ2X on Genesis Plus GX and it was too slow :( It did look really nice though :D

Also found one for Square to look at. I'm having framerate issues with PRBOOM (Android), If I leave "Sync Refresh Rate to Screen" it runs too fast. If I disable it runs better but the speed is not consistent.

(This was on my UG802 TV stick, I haven't tested it on my S2 yet)
