It looks like Ubisoft has abandoned the main trademark it holds for upcoming open-world game Watch Dogs, as reported by various sites.

The publisher filed an "express abandonment" request this weekend, and it was filed by none other than Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot...

The game was originally expected to launch in November 2013 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PC and Wii U, but it was later delayed to spring 2014 on all platforms.

According to Polygon, the original request was fraudulent, and they already petitioning the director of the USPTO to prevent the abandonment...

So, nothing to see here folks!
