I see soooo I put the power supply 3v and gnd to the middle
and the BR drive to pin 1 and 2.
one last question though I can use ANY automatic DPDT switch regardless of range?
say a switch with this range will be alright?
    10 A @ 125 Vac, 6 A @ 250 Vac
    Thanks alot!

Just one question i need to confirm , " better safe than sorry "
what i understand from Khaledkon video and the german tutorial , is that the ground and Positive for the motor
for 3k model is as the following picture

    1.jpg

Since the Pic uploaded by Salimozis shows the opposite

please confirm me or correct me if i am wrong

Since that motor rotate both ways, its the same thing, the switch position decides the polarity .

Better for you to use the same colors than the motor cables.

Can I open the bottom black plastic shield for the 3k bu-ray drive , without opening the top metal shield ?
or i need to completely De-assemble the drive as the " remove stuck disc " youtube video tutorial ?

After spending like an hour, I finally finished my dmc.
Anyways when I disassembled the blu-ray I had to take off the top part as there were 2 screws holding down the
bottom part where the motor was.
    Mine was a 2k5 model.

Dont need to take off the top part of the bd machanism, just use some adhesive tape to mantain the mechanism on place after take off the metal cover.

If you dont know that mechanism it could take a lot of hours to place it back, or break it.

Then can take off the bottom part to solder the cables to the motor

DONT NEED TO BE AN ENGINEER TO DO THIS THINGS, BUT NEED TO BE SO SYSTEMATIC AS ONE OF THEM.

    PS
if you know what you doing, you can cut the plastic bottom.

Thanks for the information my friend , what i understand that i will open the top metal part of the bd drive
as per the " remove stuck disk " tutorial , then get a tape and tape the mechanism to prevent it of falling down
when i flip the drive to open the bottom .
then i flip and open the bottom plastic cover , solder , close bottom , remove tape , close top metal

please confirm or correct me if i am wrong

Yes, but if you want dont need to remove the tape (just 2 little pieces of course) for the next time you need to do something in there.
Or if you want to test everything before to close the console.

Take care of the magnet be there when you replace the metal cover.

That is not good, too big and ugly, and easy to hook up.

Use a switch like the one showed in slimozis video.
It is not the same for car windows.
Its a complete bipolar inverter, just re-read the posts pages before.

And dont need to drill the case, just stick it to the front between the hdd led and the hdd cover.

Can use what you want, its your choise, just be sure its a bipolar inverter and if is a manual one... try to protect it from accidents or youll fry the lens, the rest is aesthetic.

    Hello ,
I used Khalkedon method tutorial , with some changes
i got a manual Switch and i used a usb cable attached to PS3 Second Port ,
i couldn't use soldering in the board to get 3.3 volt , as it seemed very hard for me ,
then i used voltage regulator to drop down voltage to 3.3 volt , i tested the connection with voltmeter and output was 3.29 , so i continue all connections as per tutorial , then when i tried to test the operation of the DMC ,
firstly when i open the PS3 there is a sound coming from the blu-ray drive , like it is searching or moving inside , not loud sound i dont know if that is neutral
then when i operate , i successfully can eject the disk using the switch , but when i try to take the disc in , i only hear a sound and it is trying to take the disk but then stops .
tried many times , tried to use an old automatic switch with same results
and i dont know what is the reason
    please help me

    Update
    - Problem Solved -

After Hours of troubleshooting , i De-assemble the blu-ray drive to check its functionality without its cover , then i discovered that one of the wires i soldered , was blocking the way of a white plastic piece of mechanism , so i moved the wire away and problem solved

Please Dears , since i couldnt solder the 3.3 volt in the mainboard
    and now using :
USB CABLE + Wall Charger + LM1117T 3.3 voltage regulator

but i read on the wall charger that output voltage 5.0 v , current 2 ampere

is that current value safe to be used with the 3.3 voltage regulator to the blu-ray motor without problems or risk ?

    thanks alot
