Very Useful Adapter Is Being Designed by RichDevX For The PSVita Community!

Now with #HENkaku running on thousands of PlayStation Vita's out there, something needs to be done to make expanding the memory on the Vita and PSTV at an much more affordable price!

We have not heard from RichDevX for a while, but he was famous back in the day for early PlayStation 3 development, in helping port over various dongle codes making it open-source for users, and improving various tools for development in producing homebrew and custom firmware, and now he is helping to design a nice PlayStation Vita to MicroSD adapter, along with a little debug/breakout area for more usage and expansion, with the hope that once this project is finished it will help open up the now growing Vita community more, just like release of HENkaku did, having a better way to expand your memory and also design programs for Vita will be great.

We had a short chat with Richard earlier today about his project, mainly asking him for more info and ETA for it, but this is what he said regarding it so far:

So there we have it, its in very early stages, and it will be a while before its released, but this is for sure one project to follow, as great things are in store finally for the PlayStation Vita and the cute little tiny PlayStation TV system, so its great news indeed for everyone that is on v3.60 still and running HENkaku and enjoying all the tons of homebrew and emulators that been released so far, with this little board, it hopefully like what Richard says, bring out some more previous famous homebrew authors out of the shadows! :)

You'll have to make two versions, 1000 series and 2000 series. but the better idea would making the board elongated with data ribbons running to each port and a pass through adapter on the bottom for both models in fact for the 1000 series the pass-through can convert the port to micro-USB. Both models secure to the systems via the wrist-strap holes on the consoles. maybe even a bonus with the extra space acting as a extended battery. it would then make the adapter full on vita upgrade and a hot ticket item for the Vita that would sell out fast and would be good for both home-brewers and legit players. Call it by a silly name, the vita-vista.

As for PSTV. Simple, a dock with ports sd, micro sd, sata enclosure, microusb, usb. And a switch to change between media. Same principle an upgrade for homebrew and legit. Call it the PSTV+.

I'm wondering what the price point for something like this is going to be.
